Report on the 3rd REIF in Shanghai
On July 31st, ACORE members and staff participated in the 3rd REIF (Renewable Energy Industries Forum) in Shanghai, China. The REIF, part of the US-China Renewable Energy Partnership between the US Department of Energy and Chinese National Energy Administration, brought together financiers, policymakers, renewable energy companies, and other important stakeholders to discuss concrete solutions for advancing renewable energy development between the US and China. ACORE organized the REIF’s panel on Renewable Energy Finance, and also hosted a reception for conference participants in collaboration with US-China Program partner CREIA (the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association). ACORE members DuPont and BrightSource Energy sponsored the reception and offered inspiring remarks, alongside DOE and NEA representatives. As part of the REIF, ACORE members also participated in government-organized trips to the Lingang City photovoltaic project and the Donghai Bridge offshore wind power project.
